The district utilizes a number of shared Google Calendars to keep track of the schedules of each school, meetings, and Professional Development opportunities. The majority of the shared Google Calendars can be accessed from the Staff Start Page at http://start.bsd-ri.net

You can simply view the shared calendars or you can subscribe to them and add them directly into your personal Google Calendar so that you are always aware of school and district events!

Setting up your BSD Google account with an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch

As the districts begins to adopt iPads for specific usage cases, staff members using the devices will absolutely want and need to access their BSD Google email, contacts and calendars from the iPad. There are also a number of staff members who have personal iPads, iPhones, and iPod Touches that would like to access their BSD Google accounts from home.

There are a number of different ways to setup a Google account on an iOS device and we've found that all methods have pros and cons. We've created instructions for a comprehensive approach that will allow you to access and send email (both through the Gmail app and the Mail app), access and sync your calendar(s), and sync your contacts. This approach will also take advantage of the built-in "mail" functionality within iOS to allow you to send and share information from various apps on the device.
